Cosmetic dentistry is a collective term for dental procedures intended to enhance the aesthetics of your smile. The increase in self-confidence a beautiful smile brings to your everyday life is simply amazing. Patients who benefit from our cosmetic procedures often express great relief as they’re able to smile without being too conscious of their appearance.
What procedures do we offer?
Porcelain veneers: Veneers are thin ceramic restorations that are custom-fabricated according to the contour of the teeth. They are bonded to the front surface of the teeth using dental adhesives, which is then hardened using a curing light. We use veneers to treat teeth that are chipped, cracked, misshapen, spaced excessively from each other, worn out, etc.
Crowns: Dental crowns are used to hold a badly damaged or worn out tooth intact. In case you have sustained external oral trauma, crowns can be used in such a case to restore the broken or cracked tooth. They are also used to restore a root canal infected tooth after the dental pulp has been removed from it.
Bridges and implants: Dental bridges are prosthetic teeth used to replace missing natural ones. They are a combination of a solid ceramic tooth held in place by crowns on either side. On the other hand, implants are fixed to the jawbone with the help of a metal stud. They offer excellent strength, stability, durability, and longevity. Both bridges and implants are made from tooth-colored ceramic, thereby keeping them in disguise.
Gum contouring: The gums are just as important as the teeth in maintaining a pleasing smile. If you have gum diseases such as gingivitis or periodontitis, your gum tissues could decay and look shabby. They may also turn red and discharge pus. Hence, we will remove the infected tissues and graft healthy soft tissues in their place.
Orthodontic treatment: Malocclusion is a huge letdown when you socialize with your loved ones. Misaligned teeth are difficult to clean as the bristles of the toothbrush will not be able to remove the microbes between the teeth. Hence, it is best to get them aligned appropriately using orthodontic solutions such as dental braces or Invisalign.
Teeth whitening: Despite brushing and flossing the teeth thoroughly, stains may develop on them over time due to causes such as excessive consumption of colored foods, smoking, chewing tobacco, etc. These stains can be removed by teeth whitening procedures, which are simple, effective, non-invasive, and quick.
